Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all commercial and contractual aspects of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works across multiple construction projects, ensuring accurate quantity take‑offs, valuations and cost control to support profitable project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, evaluate and submit monthly interim valuations and supporting documentation in line with contract requirements.
• Carry out detailed quantity take‑offs for MEP works from drawings and specifications.
• Prepare, submit, negotiate and finalise variation claims with proper documentation.
• Attend commercial meetings with clients, consultants and contractors to discuss valuations and variations.
• Assess, review and certify subcontractor valuations, variation claims and payment applications.
• Maintain commercial logs, including valuation registers, variation logs, bonds, guarantees and payment records.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and forecasts to achieve commercial objectives.
• Coordinate with site and procurement teams to support material purchasing and subcontractor engagement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in quantity surveying with significant MEP exposure on large‑scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction methodologies, quantity measurement and cost management.
• Sound understanding of construction contracts, including FIDIC and other standard forms.
