Senior Software Engineer

About the role

We build a cyber‑security platform that ingests massive volumes of security telemetry, normalises it, runs automated analysis and provides operations teams with actionable insights. The platform serves many customers from a single deployment, so every pipeline stage must handle strict tenant isolation, bursty traffic, third‑party rate limits and partial failures. The core challenges are distributed‑systems problems.

Key responsibilities

• Own one or more subsystems such as telemetry ingestion, workflow orchestration, third‑party integration, automated analysis or the response engine, covering design, delivery, production operation and reliability.
• Ship code to production, define service‑level objectives, lead incident response and conduct blameless post‑incident reviews.
• Mentor associate engineers, guide them toward ownership, and uphold high engineering standards without slowing delivery.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity on a production system.
• Proven track record designing and operating systems at scale, with concrete metrics on throughput, latency, availability and cost.
• Deep expertise in distributed‑systems concepts such as queues, streams, workflow engines, retries, idempotency, back‑pressure and observability.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript (Node.js) and Python, with the judgment to choose the right language for each component.
• Fluency with cloud environments and Kubernetes, having run services in production clusters.
