Full Stack Developer - Marketplace Platform

About the role

Cork Information Technology W.L.L., a Bahrain-based technology company and subsidiary of Cork Bahrain Holding W.L.L. specialising in digital solutions, fintech and AI, is looking for a software developer to join its development team. You will work closely with the Technical Lead to design, build, test and ship features across web, mobile and backend systems, and over time contribute to AI solutions, fintech applications and other digital products. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys owning features from idea to production.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain marketplace features: e-commerce, classified listings, services and auctions, including real-time bidding, chat, notifications and activity feeds.
• Develop responsive web applications and contribute to iOS and Android apps, including push notifications, deep linking and authentication.
• Implement Arabic/English interfaces with full RTL/LTR support.
• Implement role-based access control for users, sellers, businesses and admins.
• Integrate third-party services such as payment gateways, SMS and WhatsApp, email, maps, KYC verification, social login, shipping and analytics.
• Help build AI-powered features using LLM APIs, embeddings and vector databases.
• Write clean, maintainable code, take part in code reviews and follow team coding standards.
• Take part in sprint planning, estimates and technical discussions; support deployments, debug production issues and help keep systems reliable and secure.

Required profile

• 1-2 years of professional software development experience (full stack preferred).
• Solid proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one of NestJS, React or Next.js.
• Experience building and maintaining production applications.
• Good communication skills and comfort working in a collaborative team; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
• A motivated developer who takes ownership of their work, ships to production and is curious about AI, fintech and new digital products.

Required skills

• Frontend: JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, HTML5, CSS, responsive design, state management, RTL/LTR development.
• Backend: Node.js, NestJS, REST, GraphQL, WebSockets/Socket.IO, authentication and authorization.
• Databases and infrastructure: PostgreSQL, Redis, caching, Git/GitHub, CI/CD, basic AWS familiarity.
• Testing: unit, integration and E2E testing, debugging and code review practices.
• APIs and third-party integrations; familiarity with relational databases and efficient queries.
