Senior Systems Administrator – AT/FP Program

About the role

Serco is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to support the United States Navy Anti‑Terrorism Force‑Protection (AT/FP) Ashore Sustainment Program in Bahrain. You will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of critical C4I systems across multiple regional sites.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and update hardware and software for Windows and VMware environments.
• Manage user accounts, backup and recovery processes, and apply operational security controls.
• Provide preventive and corrective maintenance, patch management, STIG implementation, and configuration management for C4I systems worldwide.
• Support operation and maintenance tasks, including antivirus, data backup solutions, and system troubleshooting.
• Travel up to 25% to sites such as Isa Air Base and Djibouti.

Required profile

• Active DoD Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 4+ years of systems administration experience, or a high school diploma with 8+ years.
• CompTIA Security+ (minimum) or DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Active Directory.

Required skills

• Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 administration.
• VMware ESXi and vSphere management.
• Cisco iOS networking equipment.
• Active Directory domain and Group Policy Object management.
• Backup solutions such as BackupExec and Macrium Reflect.
• STIG implementation, patch management, and information‑assurance security controls.
