Setting Out Manager

About the role

The Setting Out Manager will coordinate internal and external clients and lead the setting‑out team to ensure smooth project manufacturing, on‑time delivery and client satisfaction while balancing quality and cost performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee project programmes, schedules and client expectations.
• Manage the preparation, review and submission of shop drawings and cutting lists.
• Coordinate material procurement, ensuring all items arrive before production starts.
• Lead communication with production departments, site teams and clients to resolve specifications, RFIs and variations.
• Monitor project status, prepare reports and forecast cutting‑list issuance to manufacturing.
• Ensure timely approval of project drawings and optimise sourcing of hardware accessories.

Required profile

• Minimum ten years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in joinery.
• Proven track record in setting‑out processes from site survey through to material ordering and loading lines.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing procedures and common joinery materials such as timber, boards, veneers and laminates.
