Skilled Leather Cobbler (Full-time)

About the role

Suede & Suds is seeking a skilled Leather Cobbler to join its on‑site team in Seef. You will work hands‑on with shoes, bags and other leather accessories, delivering high‑quality cleaning, conditioning and restoration services.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the condition of leather items and recommend appropriate restoration options.
• Perform cleaning, conditioning, polishing and color touch‑ups using specialised products.
• Carry out repairs such as stitching, sole and heel work, edge finishing and minor reshaping.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and manage daily workflow to meet client deadlines.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent quality and excellent customer service.

Required profile

• Strong practical experience in leather care and basic restoration techniques.
• Proven ability to perform cobbler tasks including stitching, sole and heel repairs, and edge finishing.
• Attention to detail and capacity to handle delicate or high‑value items safely.
• Good communication skills for discussing repair options and care instructions with clients.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and operate hand tools and machinery.
• Prior experience in leather work or a related trade; vocational training or apprenticeship is a plus.
