Social Media Coordinator and Content Creator

About the role

The American University of Bahrain is looking for a Coordinator of Social Media and Content Creator to manage its social media accounts and create engaging content that showcases the university, student life, academic programs and campus activities. The role covers content planning, photography, video production and keeping up with social media trends to strengthen the university's online presence. The workplace is on site in Riffa.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the university's social media accounts and develop a monthly content calendar
• Generate creative content ideas for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Stories and other platforms
• Capture high-quality photographs and videos of students, campus life and university events
• Edit short-form videos and produce engaging social media content
• Create and publish Instagram Stories and provide live coverage of events and activities
• Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities to increase engagement
• Coordinate with the Marketing team to align content with campaigns and university priorities

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations or a related field; professional certification is desirable
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
• Excellent writing and editing skills in Arabic and English
• Portfolio of photography, video editing or social media content is an advantage

Required skills

• Strong photography skills
• Shooting and editing short-form videos with tools such as CapCut or Adobe Premiere Pro
• Understanding of Instagram, TikTok and current social media trends
• Ability to analyze and interpret data
• Teamwork, interpersonal skills and ability to work independently
