About the role
We are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer / Technical Advisor to support a high‑priority, 20‑day shutdown project for a major oil & gas client. The role involves hands‑on oversight, troubleshooting, and commissioning of specialized rotating equipment in a fast‑paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide on‑site technical expertise for the overhaul and commissioning of KKK steam turbines and Mitsubishi or Hitachi compressors.
- Perform laser alignment, rotor dynamics analysis, and clearance measurements on rotating equipment.
- Interpret and work from complex engineering blueprints, P&IDs, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with plant operators, mechanical crews, and project managers to ensure safe and efficient shutdown execution.
- Document findings, generate reports, and recommend corrective actions.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 + years of experience in oil & gas turn‑key turnaround or shutdown projects.
- Verified hands‑on experience with KKK steam turbines.
- Direct field experience with Mitsubishi (MHI) or Hitachi compressors.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work demanding shutdown hours.
- Valid safety certifications for the region.
