Subject Matter Expert – Oil & Gas Upstream

About the role

Yokogawa is seeking an executive Subject Matter Expert to lead business development and consulting activities in the Oil & Gas Upstream sector. The role combines deep industry knowledge with digital transformation expertise to create value for customers and drive growth for the company.

Key responsibilities

• Lead upstream Oil & Gas business development in partnership with regional sales and solution teams.
• Build relationships with customers, understand their challenges, and propose tailored products and solutions.
• Proactively engage customers early in their investment cycles to position Yokogawa’s offerings.
• Identify and develop digitalization and optimization opportunities, collaborating with solution experts to design optimal solutions.
• Act as a technical advisor and trainer for sales and solution teams across regions.
• Extend consulting services to related sectors such as refining and petrochemicals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 10‑15 years of experience in Oil & Gas operations or projects.
• 5‑7 years of experience in business development, pre‑sales, consulting or engineering.
• Proven track record in digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of Oil & Gas processes, optimization, and emerging digital technologies.
• Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
