Supervisory General Engineer (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Architect)

About the role

This position provides technical and administrative supervision of construction projects across multiple engineering disciplines. The incumbent ensures that work complies with contract specifications, design intent, and safety standards while supporting the Design Management Section Chief.

Key responsibilities

• Observe construction activities at all stages, identify problems, and take timely corrective action.
• Interpret contract specifications and verify that construction meets contractual requirements.
• Conduct direct inspections to ensure compliance with design and specifications.
• Recommend design, specification, and schedule changes to accommodate site conditions or accelerate progress.
• Serve as first‑line supervisor for the technical team, assisting the Design Management Section Chief.
• Review project plans and specifications for engineering and architectural projects.

Required profile

• Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid US passport and appropriate visa for the duty location.
• Must hold a Professional Engineering (PE) license or an Architect license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb repeatedly and meet physical and medical requirements for deployment.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
