Teaching Fellow – Computer Science & Software Engineering

About the role

The University of Strathclyde, Bahrain is seeking a Teaching Fellow to support the delivery of its BSc (Hons) Computer Science and BSc (Hons) Software Engineering programmes on the Manama campus. The role involves designing and delivering high‑quality lectures, labs and assessments for both on‑site and blended learning environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update course materials, including lecture slides, lab exercises and assessment items.
• Deliver lectures, tutorials and practical sessions in core computing subjects.
• Assess student work, provide timely feedback and contribute to grading.
• Collaborate with senior faculty to ensure curriculum alignment with industry standards.
• Participate in departmental meetings, student advising and academic quality assurance activities.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of computer science and software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience teaching programming, algorithms, software design or related topics.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural academic environment.
• Commitment to high standards of teaching and student support.
