Warehouse Controller

About the role

The Warehouse Controller reports to the Logistics Supervisor and is responsible for overseeing all warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and surplus management. The position operates on a rotating shift schedule and may require offshore work or additional hours as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily warehouse operations with the Maintenance & Operations Supervisor.
• Receive, inspect, and reconcile incoming materials against purchase orders, documenting damages or discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in the NSE system and conduct annual stock counts.
• Manage surplus property, prepare property lists, and ensure proper tagging and storage.
• Operate forklifts safely for moving large items, loading/unloading vehicles, and assisting with maintenance tasks.
• Ensure warehouse equipment is inspected and maintained for safe operation.
• Assist in the purchasing process and deliver or collect spare parts as directed.
• Act as a lead worker for classified staff and serve on the Emergency Response Team when required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
• Full clean Kingdom of Bahrain driving licence.
• Proven experience in warehouse, store, or logistics environments.
• Good English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, show initiative, and follow health & safety procedures.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse safety protocols.
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software.
• Familiarity with inventory control systems and data analysis tools.
• Forklift operation certification and experience.
• Crane operation training (desirable).
• Health & safety training and experience.
