Account Receivable Supervisor

About the role

The Account Receivable Supervisor will lead the city‑ledger function for Accor Hotels in Manama, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections and strict adherence to the credit policy. This position works closely with finance, sales and hotel management to safeguard cash flow and maintain strong credit relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise implementation of the Credit Policy and coordinate daily city‑ledger charge segregation.
• Verify postings against billing instructions, contracts, LPOs and vouchers.
• Prepare daily adjustment vouchers, journal entries and city‑ledger transfers.
• Drive collection efforts for accounts over 60 days, exceeding credit limits or with bad history, using alternative arrangements when needed.
• Attend credit meetings, provide monthly aging analysis and comment on collection actions.
• Exchange credit information with other hotels and coordinate credit applications with the Sales Manager.
• Prepare and dispatch reminders, statements and pro‑forma invoices.
• Identify direct credits at the bank, post them in the system and reconcile inter‑company accounts.
• Maintain complete documentation of collection activities and ensure confidentiality of records.
• Support cash receipt processing, sequence control of receipt books and affiliated billing follow‑up.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising accounts receivable or credit functions, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of city‑ledger processes, credit policy enforcement and collection techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records.
• Good communication skills to interact with department heads, financial controller and general manager.
• Familiarity with hotel policies, health‑safety and emergency procedures.
