Assistant Internal Auditor

About the role

As an Assistant Internal Auditor you will support Alzayani Investments’ internal audit function across a diversified portfolio that includes automotive, healthcare, manufacturing, real estate and services. Based in Manama, you will help evaluate and improve risk management, control and governance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning and execution of internal audit engagements and prepare clear work papers.
• Examine internal controls, policies and procedures for effectiveness, efficiency and compliance with local regulations and group standards.
• Identify and assess significant business risks and provide practical recommendations for mitigation.
• Assist in drafting comprehensive audit reports and conduct follow‑up reviews to monitor implementation of recommendations.
• Maintain integrity, objectivity and confidentiality throughout audit activities.
• Collaborate with the audit team and perform additional tasks assigned by the Group Internal Audit Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related business field.
• Pursuing or holding professional qualifications such as CIA, ACCA or CPA.
• Proven experience in an internal or external audit role, preferably in a diversified business environment.
• Strong analytical mindset, high attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with company policies and industry trends.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of internal audit principles and IIA standards.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
