Bid Manager

About the role

The Bid Manager supports the division’s performance by continuously enhancing client offerings and improving price positioning. Working closely with the department head, the role plans estimation activities, prioritises inquiries, and oversees day‑to‑day management of estimation resources to improve strike ratios.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all estimation‑related processes, including interpretation of tender documents, drawings and specifications.
• Prepare and review bills of quantities, material take‑offs and cost estimates.
• Supervise the estimating team, plan workloads and coordinate post‑tender handovers.
• Maintain and expand the supplier database, pre‑qualifying new vendors.
• Develop bid cost estimates, manage the bid calendar and ensure timely submissions.
• Support cost control activities and provide commercial support when required.
• Establish and review estimating policies, procedures and document retention.

Required profile

• University degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or equivalent.
• 10–15 years of experience in estimation for large‑size joinery manufacturing companies.
• Strong knowledge of high‑quality joinery products, commercial and contractual issues.
• Proven senior‑level leadership in the joinery manufacturing industry.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Good situational awareness of the interior materials market.
