Customer Support Engineer – Technical Support for Yokogawa Products

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Support Engineer to provide technical support for Yokogawa products and services across the Middle East and Africa. The role involves handling customer inquiries, troubleshooting, and delivering solutions for our automation and safety systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely, high‑quality technical assistance for Yokogawa systems such as Centum VP and ProSafe‑RS.
• Handle calls, investigate issues, perform analysis, testing and resolve non‑conformities reported from customer sites.
• Coordinate with functional experts to deliver customer‑centric solutions and manage escalations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot OT cybersecurity solutions and core service functions (warranty, service notes, service information).
• Track cases, manage KPIs and deliver remote support to customers and internal engineers.
• Configure network equipment for Ethernet sniffing, SPAN/RSPAN and support Windows platform issues (dumps, crashes, memory leaks).
• Support network security tools including anti‑virus, Windows updates, Active Directory and application whitelisting.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Instrumentation, Electronics or related field).
• 5‑8 years of experience in technical support for Yokogawa products.
• Strong knowledge of Yokogawa DCS, ESD and Asset Manager.
• Understanding of network concepts, OT security applications and system integration.
• Experience working with large Yokogawa installations and following support processes.
