Packaging Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Packaging Manager to lead the strategy, development, and lifecycle management of packaging across our product portfolio. The role combines engineering, design, and supply‑chain expertise to deliver sustainable, cost‑effective packaging solutions that protect products and enhance brand value.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute packaging strategies aligned with product, operational and sustainability goals.
• Lead design, testing, validation and implementation of primary, secondary and tertiary packaging.
• Evaluate materials, structural designs, labeling and product‑protection requirements.
• Collaborate with product development, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality, logistics and marketing teams.
• Manage packaging suppliers, manufacturers and external design partners to ensure quality, cost and delivery performance.
• Optimize packaging costs while maintaining quality, functionality and customer experience.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental and transportation standards.
• Conduct performance testing, transit validation, shelf‑life assessments and quality evaluations.
• Drive sustainable packaging initiatives, waste‑reduction programs and recyclable‑material adoption.
• Monitor KPIs such as cost, quality, efficiency, sustainability metrics and supplier performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 5–10+ years of experience in packaging management, packaging engineering, manufacturing, product development or supply‑chain operations.
• Proven track record of leading packaging projects from concept to launch.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and environmental requirements for packaging.
