Retail Project Manager

About the role

The Retail Project Manager will lead the planning and execution of joinery and interior fit‑out projects for retail environments. Reporting to senior leadership, you will coordinate internal teams, fit‑out contractors and clients to ensure seamless delivery from kickoff to handover.

Key responsibilities

• Organise project kick‑off meetings with internal departments, fit‑out teams and general contractors, aligning scope, timeline and expectations.
• Conduct site assessments, surveys and photography, identify loading zones and communicate critical dimensions to the Setting Out Manager.
• Perform on‑site setting out and marking of joinery equipment when required.
• Address technical queries from clients and contractors throughout the manufacturing and installation phases.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using MS Projects, monitoring progress against milestones.
• Produce daily and weekly progress reports with photos and submit them to the Project Manager and Setting Out Manager.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines without constant supervision.
• Maintain continuous communication with fit‑out teams, factory personnel and client representatives, escalating discrepancies promptly.
• Observe installations and recommend adjustments to equipment to facilitate future fit‑outs.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in joinery manufacturing or interior fit‑out projects, preferably within the retail sector.
• Proven leadership ability and a self‑driven attitude with high responsibility.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder management, able to work with internal teams, contractors and clients.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency.
