Senior RTO Engineer

About the role

Yokogawa is seeking a Senior Real‑Time Optimization (RTO) Engineer to lead the implementation of Advanced Process Control (APC) and advanced monitoring solutions across refining, petrochemical and polymer plants.

Key responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for RTO across process units and define hardware/software architecture for APC implementation.
• Develop steady‑state simulation models for refining, petrochemical and polymer processes.
• Execute RTO projects from control definition, functional design, plant testing, detailed engineering, site integration, SAT, commissioning, post‑audit and PGTR.
• Coordinate multiple projects, provide technical and managerial support, and lead teams of APC consultants.
• Offer advisory and maintenance support, modify control strategies, and deliver RTO training to operators and engineers.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 + years experience in Advanced Process Control and Real‑Time Optimization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Hands‑on commissioning experience with APC controllers in refining, petrochemical and polymer units.
• Experience building steady‑state process simulation models for the same sectors.
