Student Supervisor

About the role

The Student Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a disciplined, safe, and orderly environment throughout the school day. This role supports teachers, students, and parents by ensuring smooth transitions, monitoring behaviour, and enforcing school policies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct corridor, bathroom, and classroom checks before the start of the school day to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Coordinate student line‑up before, during, and after recess with SLO prefects to maintain order.
• Manage travel time between classes so students transition efficiently.
• Mentor students on the importance of discipline and a safe learning environment.
• Maintain a quiet atmosphere when students re‑enter classrooms after breaks.
• Ensure timely attendance of students before lessons and after each recess.
• Motivate students to work hard during class time.
• Enter accurate data into the SABIS® School Management System, including attendance, infractions, and teacher reports.
• Contact and follow up with parents regarding student absences.
• Observe classes to confirm a calm learning environment.
• Prevent bullying and fighting, and communicate disciplinary actions when needed.
• Accompany students to the bus area after school and verify correct bus allocation.
• Prepare daily reports on teacher observations, student infractions, and complaints.
• Assist with exam hall supervision and enforce safety rules.
• Participate in weekly meetings and training sessions on student behaviour.

Required profile

• Ability to conduct corridor, bathroom, and classroom checks.
• Capability to coordinate student line‑up processes.
• Proficiency in using the SABIS® School Management System for attendance and infractions.
• Willingness to communicate with parents regarding absences.
