Warehouse Team Lead

About the role

The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring 100% accuracy and safety while meeting order priorities. This role coordinates manpower, equipment, and space to drive efficient picking, packing, and put‑away processes.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and allocate staff and equipment to meet order priorities and business requirements.
• Plan warehouse space, assign storage locations, and supervise picking, packing, and put‑away activities.
• Verify manuals, pick lists, and packing specifications for correct quantities, dimensions, and certifications.
• Monitor documentation of damages, short/over shipments, and MDNs; report to Client Services.
• Conduct regular stock checks, cycle counts, and reconciliations to maintain inventory integrity.
• Implement QHSE and security policies, maintaining housekeeping standards.
• Train, set objectives, appraise, and discipline staff to achieve high performance.
• Escalate issues and opportunities for improvement to supervisors or line managers.

Required profile

• Graduate in any discipline.
• At least one year of relevant warehouse or logistics experience.
• Strong communication, leadership, and supervisory abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Fluency in English.
• Experience operating material handling equipment (VA, RT, OP, PPT).
• Comfort using RF guns and scanners.
• Advanced MS Excel skills and general MS Office competency.
