Design & Technical Manager – FF&E and Joinery

About the role

Havelock One Interiors is seeking an experienced Design & Technical Manager – FF&E and Joinery to lead the setting‑out department for bespoke and hospitality projects in Bahrain. The role sits at the heart of projects, ensuring seamless coordination between internal teams and external clients while maintaining quality, cost and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee assigned projects from concept through manufacturing, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Guide the setting‑out team on execution strategy, material submissions, procurement, shop drawings, prototyping and delivery.
• Manage project schedules, review shop drawings and address client expectations.
• Check material details, obtain clearances for variations and supervise material procurement.
• Interpret project specifications, identify material requirements and provide technical guidance.
• Continuously improve processes, identify and implement efficiency initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments and clients to coordinate project needs.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of experience in a manufacturing or interiors environment.
• Background in interiors, technical or related discipline.
• Proven track record in joinery setting‑out, detailing, planning and site execution.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for material integration (glass, acrylic, stone, metal, fabric).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Autodesk products (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Expertise in joinery detailing, shop drawings and material take‑offs.
• Knowledge of common interior materials such as timber, veneers, laminates, hardware and special surfaces.
