Power Generation Technician – Bahrain

About the role

The Power Generation Technician will ensure reliable operation of diesel generators and power frequency converters supporting Patriot systems in Manama, Bahrain. This onsite position requires a Secret DoD clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Key responsibilities

• Test, operate, and repair power generation and frequency converter equipment.
• Inspect and repair MEIs, perform preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS).
• Provide advisory support for troubleshooting, fault isolation, and testing of 15 kW/400 Hz, 30 kW/400 Hz, and 150 kW/400 Hz diesel generators.
• Install generator sets and converters, and coordinate with equipment manufacturers.
• Create 2404 reports and log non‑conformances in the iMRO system.

Required profile

• Active Secret DoD clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• Graduate of US Army Mast and Electric Power Plant Maintenance (ASI C9) or Power Generation Equipment Repairer (MOS 52D/91D) course, or equivalent technical training.
• Minimum two years of experience repairing and refurbishing diesel generators.

Required skills

• Diesel generator maintenance (15 kW, 30 kW, 150 kW @ 400 Hz).
• Power frequency converter operation.
• Preventive Maintenance Checks Services (PMCS).
• Troubleshooting and fault isolation.
• Use of iMRO maintenance tracking system.
