Automation Technician – Maintenance & Support

About the role

Fives Services Gulf is looking for an Automation Technician to join its Bahrain team. You will be responsible for keeping automated machinery and tools running smoothly through preventive, corrective and on‑site maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule in line with company policies and industry best practices.
• Administer, configure, maintain, program and qualify equipment, control systems and process data systems according to SOPs.
• Perform repairs and corrective maintenance on PTMs and related automation equipment to meet contractual and customer specifications.
• Provide on‑site support to customers, ensuring all equipment complies with relevant standards and regulations.
• Monitor and troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation and automation systems, applying safety requirements at all times.

Required profile

• Experience in servicing, corrective and preventive maintenance of automated machinery/tools.
• Ability to work on‑site and support customers in breakdown situations.
• Understanding of automation safety standards and HSEQ regulations.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for basic equipment and process errors.
