Site Engineer

About the role

The Site Engineer will lead earthworks, marine and offshore pipeline activities on construction sites in Manama. The role combines technical supervision, safety management and coordination with subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily toolbox talks and risk assessments together with the safety officer.
• Develop and follow micro‑plans to optimise resource utilisation and avoid idle time.
• Raise material, machinery and inspection requests in advance to keep the schedule on track.
• Prepare work method statements, shop and as‑built drawings in collaboration with draftsmen.
• Coordinate with the Site QC Engineer to raise inspection requests and ensure compliance.
• Monitor manpower and equipment deployment, reporting daily progress to the Construction Manager.
• Supervise subcontractors, handle technical queries and ensure work follows specifications.
• Manage material reconciliation monthly and support continuous site improvement.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience for degree holders or 5‑7 years for diploma holders in civil engineering.
• Background in earthworks, offshore pipeline works and marine construction projects such as rock revetment, reclamation or dredging.
• Diploma, B.E. or B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work flexible hours.
