Accountant – General Ledger & Treasury

About the role

The Accountant will ensure the integrity of the general accounts and oversee treasury operations in compliance with FCA regulations and standard accounting practices. This role involves close collaboration with the Chief General Accountant and the Accounting Manager to maintain accurate financial records and support the company's financial health.

Key responsibilities

• Control and maintain the integrity of general accounts in line with FCA requirements.
• Review cashier activities for proper checks and balances.
• Monitor treasury functions, including money transfers, bank charges, and remittances.
• Process and coordinate wire transfers and telex payments, ensuring accuracy before submission.
• Conduct internal audits to verify control procedures and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform monthly bank and affiliate reconciliations and resolve irregularities.
• Maintain a monthly trial balance audit file to confirm balance accuracy.
• Handle filing and follow‑up on subsidy applications and refunds.
• Prepare monthly fixed‑asset acquisition reports for manager approval.
