Applications Development Intermediate Analyst

About the role

The Applications Development Intermediate Analyst works with the Technology team to design, develop, and support new or revised application systems and programs. This role contributes to system analysis, programming, testing, and security assessment within the financial services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and define system enhancements using scripting tools and code analysis.
• Consult with users, clients, and technology groups to recommend and implement programming solutions.
• Apply programming language knowledge to create design specifications and support customer-facing systems.
• Analyze applications for vulnerabilities, conduct testing, and debug issues.
• Coach lower‑level analysts and act as a subject‑matter expert for senior stakeholders.
• Assess risk, ensure compliance with laws and policies, and report control issues transparently.

Required profile

• Proven experience in the financial services industry in an applications development role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving, decision‑making, and ability to work under pressure.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to operate with limited supervision and exercise independent judgment.
