Assistant HR Manager (Construction)

About the role

The Assistant HR Manager will lead end‑to‑end HR operations within a construction environment, handling recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll coordination, performance management, training and overall HR administration. The role also ensures compliance with Qatar Labour Law and supports senior management with workforce planning, HR reporting and employee‑related decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage recruitment, onboarding and employee relations processes.
• Coordinate payroll, performance management and training programmes.
• Oversee HR administration and ensure compliance with Qatar Labour Law.
• Support workforce planning, HR reporting and strategic employee decisions.

Required profile

• MBA in HR or Management (or equivalent qualification).
• 10–15 years overall HR experience, with at least 10 years in a senior HR role.
• Strong background in HR operations, recruitment, onboarding, payroll and employee relations.
• In‑depth knowledge of Qatar Labour Law, HR policies and compliance requirements.
• Hands‑on experience with HR software, HRIS and employee management systems.
• Leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience in compensation & benefits, appraisals, grievance handling and conflict resolution.
