Assistant Manager – Tax Technology & Transformation

About the role

EY is seeking an Assistant Manager to join its Tax Technology & Transformation (TTT) team in Manama. The role is client‑facing and execution‑focused, delivering day‑to‑day tax and finance solutions across corporate tax, indirect tax, accounting compliance, e‑invoicing and AI‑enabled use cases.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines, reconciliations, dashboards, test packs and implementation documentation for tax and accounting compliance.
• Own discrete modules or tasks end‑to‑end under manager guidance, ensuring accurate, well‑documented, client‑ready deliverables.
• Support indirect tax reporting improvements through data validation, exception handling and e‑invoicing data preparation.
• Build repeatable analytics workflows using Alteryx, create visualisations in Tableau and perform data validations with SQL.
• Assist AI/GenAI tax use cases by preparing structured inputs, documenting requirements and validating outputs against acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate closely with client tax, finance and technology stakeholders to clarify requirements and iterate solutions quickly.
