Assistant Spa & Recreation Manager

About the role

The Assistant Spa & Recreation Manager will support the delivery of world‑class spa, fitness and leisure experiences at Raffles Al Areen Palace Bahrain. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure smooth daily operations, drive revenue, and uphold the brand’s 5‑star service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Spa, Fitness Center and all recreation facilities.
• Lead, motivate and manage the Spa and Recreation team, handling recruitment, training, scheduling and performance reviews.
• Prepare and manage the departmental budget, monitor financial performance and implement revenue‑driving strategies.
• Develop culturally inspired wellness programs and leisure packages to enhance guest experience.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene and pool supervision regulations.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate with Raffles Butlers, Engineering, Food & Beverage and other departments for seamless guest journeys.
• Manage inventory, supplies and equipment maintenance for all Spa and Recreation areas.
• Maintain operational logs, prepare reports and ensure accurate departmental records.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years progressive experience in Spa, Recreation or Leisure operations within a luxury hotel or resort.
• At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role.
• Proven experience in a 5‑star luxury property is mandatory.
