Assistant Store Manager – Retail Operations

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports overall store operations and ensures a seamless customer experience. Reporting to the Store Manager, the role involves assisting with managerial tasks and stepping in during their absence. The position focuses on driving sales, managing staff, and maintaining store standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead customer‑focused service and actively pursue sales targets.
• Audit store administration, resolve issues, and implement procedural changes.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure correct stock levels.
• Monitor KPIs, analyse performance, and implement sales strategies.
• Oversee inventory control, conduct regular stock checks, and manage replenishment.
• Schedule staff, handle complaints, provide performance feedback, and enforce dress‑code compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month retail experience.
• Ability to lead a team and manage daily store operations.
• Understanding of sales KPIs and promotional implementation.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
