Associate Accountant – NSA Bahrain

About the role

KBR is looking for an Associate Accountant to join its team supporting Naval Support Activity (NSA) Bahrain in Manama. The role involves applying established accounting policies to maintain accurate financial records, support the general ledger, and assist in preparing management financial reports for government contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations under direct supervision.
• Support monthly and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial data.
• Maintain the general ledger and analyze balance‑sheet accounts.
• Apply internal controls and accounting principles to guarantee data integrity.
• Collaborate with team members on reporting requirements and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Entry‑level experience in accounting or finance preferred.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general‑ledger processes.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work in a contingency environment.
• Familiarity with government contracts is a plus.
