Associate Factory Manager

About the role

The Associate Factory Manager will lead a large joinery manufacturing operation of more than 700 workers, overseeing the production of display cases, bespoke interiors and other joinery products. The role focuses on improving efficiency, implementing mechanisation, and aligning the plant with European manufacturing standards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse existing processes, propose and implement improvements and mechanisation across the production cycle.
• Manage daily shop‑floor activities, monitor workload across assembly, milling, veneer, polishing, upholstery and other joinery sections.
• Develop production schedules, allocate work with floor supervisors and adjust plans as needed.
• Oversee CNC laser, machining and other modern equipment to ensure consistent quality and productivity.
• Lead new product development, selecting machines, tools, fixtures and inspection methods.
• Drive continuous improvement, resolve technical bottlenecks and promote Lean practices.
• Coordinate with metal, purchasing, stores, logistics and health‑&‑safety functions.
• Handle staff recruitment, performance management, training and development to maintain a skilled workforce.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of experience in factory management within a large furniture or joinery manufacturing environment.
• Proactive, self‑driven personality with strong people‑management capabilities.
• Deep technical knowledge of joinery construction, finishing methods, timber, veneers and related machinery.
• Demonstrated ability to manage capacity and implement Lean manufacturing principles.
