Audio-Visual Technician

About the role

The Audio‑Visual Technician will install, operate, maintain and troubleshoot AV systems across Hawar Resort, supporting meetings, conferences, weddings, banquets, entertainment events and VIP experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections and installations of audio, video, lighting and projection equipment.
• Set up, test, operate and dismantle AV gear for events, ensuring smooth execution.
• Respond quickly to technical faults, diagnose issues and carry out repairs or corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate equipment records, inventories and report major faults to the Engineering Supervisor.
• Coordinate with Events, Banquets, Entertainment, IT, Engineering and external suppliers to meet AV requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of AV experience in a luxury hotel, resort or high‑end events environment.
• Diploma or certificate in Audio‑Visual Technology, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred).
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Willingness to work shifts, evenings, weekends, public holidays and special events.

Required skills

• Professional audio, video, lighting, projection and LED display systems.
• Video‑conferencing platforms, projectors, sound mixers, amplifiers, microphones and digital signage.
• AV control systems and automation software.
• Electrical safety, cabling and equipment handling procedures.
