Automation Technician

About the role

Fives Services Gulf is looking for an Automation Technician to join its Bahrain team. You will be responsible for servicing, corrective and preventive maintenance of automated machinery and tools, ensuring continuous operation and compliance with SOPs, HSEQ and industry regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule in line with company policies and best practices.
• Administer, configure, maintain, program and qualify equipment, control systems, process control and historical data systems.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on PTMs and related equipment according to contractual and customer specifications.
• Carry out corrective maintenance, diagnose faults and support peers during breakdown situations.
• Provide on‑site customer support to ensure equipment and tooling meet standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain technical integrity of electrical, instrumentation and automation systems.
• Apply automation safety requirements and ensure all work complies with company and customer safety standards.
• Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot basic process errors.

Required profile

• Proven experience in automation maintenance and servicing of industrial machinery.
• Familiarity with SOPs, HSEQ guidelines and industry regulations.
• Ability to work on‑site and provide technical support to customers.
• Strong understanding of automation safety standards.
• Team‑oriented mindset with the capacity to assist peers in fault diagnosis.
