Automation Technician – Maintenance & Support

About the role

Fives Services Gulf is looking for an Automation Technician to join its Bahrain team. The role focuses on servicing, corrective and preventative maintenance of automated machinery and tools, ensuring continuous operational readiness for customer plants.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule in line with company policies and industry best practices.
• Administer, configure, maintain, program and qualify equipment, control systems, process control systems and historical data systems according to SOPs.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on PTMs and related equipment to meet contractual and customer specifications.
• Carry out corrective maintenance, assist peers in fault diagnosis and restore equipment during breakdowns.
• Provide on‑site support to customers, ensuring equipment and tooling comply with relevant standards and regulations.
• Maintain technical integrity of electrical, instrumentation and automation systems at all times.
• Apply automation safety requirements and ensure all work aligns with company and customer safety standards.
• Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot basic process errors, recommending corrective actions.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving skills for fault diagnosis and equipment repair.
