Mechanical Technician

About the role

Fives Services Gulf is actively seeking a Mechanical Technician to join its team in Bahrain. The role involves servicing, corrective and preventative maintenance of equipment and machinery in line with established SOPs, HSEQ and industry regulations, ensuring all assets remain operational to support maintenance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule in compliance with company policies, customer specifications and industry standards.
• Perform administration, configuration, calibration, maintenance, programming and qualification of assigned equipment and machinery.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance on all SPL equipment and related machinery according to contractual and customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment and process errors, applying mechanical knowledge to recommend solutions.
• Provide on‑site support to customers, ensuring equipment, machinery and tooling meet relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor equipment performance to reduce both planned and unplanned maintenance and prepare detailed work reports.

Required profile

• Diploma or vocational certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of relevant mechanical maintenance experience.
• Relevant welding certification (advantageous).
• NEBOSH certification (advantageous).

Required skills

• Knowledge of bucket elevators.
• Experience with belt and chain conveyors.
• Familiarity with crushers and dust collectors.
• Proficient use of MS Office.
• Welding skills (certified).
