Business Intelligence Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Specialist to join a leading Islamic bank in Bahrain on a remote basis. The role focuses on delivering data‑driven insights for Treasury, Investments, and Financial Institutions, turning raw data into actionable decision‑making tools.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the Treasury analytics and reporting roadmap aligned with business priorities.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and KPI scorecards using Power BI and related BI tools.
• Deliver actionable insights, predictive analytics, and scenario simulations to support strategic decisions.
• Integrate datasets from multiple sources, optimise SQL queries, and ensure data consistency.
• Identify and resolve data gaps while complying with governance, security, and privacy policies.
• Train and support business users, communicate insights effectively, and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5–8 years of experience in Business Intelligence and data analytics, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Strong banking domain knowledge, especially in Treasury, Investments, and Financial Institutions.
• Proven ability to translate business objectives into analytical solutions and manage BI projects.

Required skills

• Advanced expertise in Power BI.
• Proficiency in Python and Matlab.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Knowledge of SAS for data warehousing.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
• Exposure to AI/ML, NLP, and computer‑vision techniques.
