Cashier

About the role

The Cashier will manage sales transactions efficiently while delivering friendly, high‑quality service to customers. You will also support store operations, maintain visual standards, and promote the loyalty program.

Key responsibilities

• Process payments accurately (cash, credit cards, vouchers) and issue receipts, refunds, and change.
• Balance the cash till at the start and end of each shift, ensuring adequate change.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and present a professional appearance.
• Serve products fresh and follow the "Always Fresh" procedure.
• Greet customers promptly, meet speed‑of‑service targets, and provide product knowledge.
• Promote impulse purchases and encourage enrollment in the loyalty program.
• Handle customer queries about loyalty, returns, and exchanges according to company policy.
• Follow operational guidelines for product preparation, communicate stock needs, and perform temperature checks.
• Participate in store meetings, uphold hygiene standards, and comply with health & safety regulations.

Required profile

• At least 1 month of experience in a cashier or retail environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Good communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
