Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

About the role

We are seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead our insurance brokerage in Bahrain. The CEO will be responsible for steering the organisation’s strategic direction, ensuring competitive market positioning and delivering sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide senior management and leadership with a proven track record in financial services.
• Demonstrate deep understanding of the markets, products and services the licencee operates in.
• Lead the organisation or business unit with significant financial and operational responsibilities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, shareholders, investors, customers and other market participants.
• Influence and engage stakeholders to support strategic objectives through effective communication, leadership and negotiation.
• Manage relationships with shareholders, regulators, customer groups and ecosystem players.
• Develop strategic alliances, partnerships and business relationships that support growth.
• Ensure sound corporate governance, risk management and compliance with capital and liquidity regulations.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of relevant experience in financial services (banking, insurance, asset management or related), including at least 5 years in senior management.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a recognised university or relevant professional qualifications.
• Proven ability to lead organisations with significant financial and operational responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of market dynamics, products and services in the insurance brokerage sector.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of corporate governance, risk management and regulatory compliance, especially capital and liquidity requirements.
