Cybersecurity Adjunct Faculty (Part-time)

About the role

The university is seeking a part‑time adjunct faculty member to teach cybersecurity courses and contribute to the academic mission of the department. The role blends classroom instruction with curriculum development, student advising, and scholarly activities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate cybersecurity courses, including syllabus creation, lesson planning, and assignment development.
• Assess student performance through grading of assignments, exams, projects, and theses.
• Advise students on course selection and career pathways.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop or revise curricula for degree or certificate programs.
• Stay current with industry and academic advancements in cybersecurity.
• Invigilate examinations, attend faculty meetings, and perform general administrative duties related to teaching quality assurance.
• Write research proposals, papers, and other scholarly publications.
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate projects or theses.
• Perform any other duties reasonably required by management.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD degree in cybersecurity or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
• Minimum three years of experience teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, or equivalent industry experience.
• Proven ability to develop higher‑education programs and curricula.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with peers, leadership, and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated alignment with core values of integrity, engagement, excellence, and a desire to make a difference.

Required skills

• Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS).
