About the role

As a Desalination Plant Operator at Mantis, you will ensure the resort’s desalination system runs safely and efficiently, providing a reliable supply of high‑quality water for guests and staff. The role combines hands‑on operation, routine maintenance and continuous monitoring in a conservation‑focused hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control desalination plant equipment to maintain optimal performance and water quality.
• Adjust settings, operate pumps, valves and filtration units according to operational parameters.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical components.
• Troubleshoot and repair faults, coordinating major repairs with the engineering team.
• Test water samples, manage chemical dosing and maintain inventory of treatment chemicals.
• Record operational data, prepare daily performance reports and log maintenance activities.
• Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Technical background in water treatment or related engineering field.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and proactive approach to troubleshooting.

• Ability to work independently on‑site and collaborate with engineering staff.
