Director of Sales & Marketing

About the role

We are seeking a versatile and dynamic professional to lead the pre‑opening sales and marketing function for Kempinski Harbour Heights Bahrain. As the commercial architect of the hotel’s launch, the Director will shape brand positioning, build pipelines and drive revenue across rooms and F&B.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the integrated pre‑opening sales & marketing business plan, budget and launch timeline in line with Kempinski standards.
• Conduct market feasibility studies, competitor analysis and positioning for Bahrain’s luxury hospitality market.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management to design rate architecture, yield strategies and distribution channels.
• Lead grand‑opening activation events, PR narratives and global press launches.
• Target and secure contracts across GCC luxury leisure, corporate/government, travel trade and MICE segments.
• Establish partnerships with global luxury consortia and Kempinski Global Sales Offices.
• Oversee luxury marketing campaigns across digital, CRM, social media and paid media channels.
• Direct local and international PR agencies to secure high‑visibility media coverage.
• Recruit, mentor and manage the pre‑opening sales, marketing, events and PR teams, set SOPs and KPIs.
• Manage vendor contracts and agency relationships.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in luxury hospitality sales and marketing, including 2–3 years in a senior leadership role.
• Deep knowledge of the regional luxury market and an established network of travel agents, corporate buyers and event planners.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in revenue management, budgeting and data‑driven marketing.
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets and delivering successful hotel launches or repositionings.
• Fluent command of English.
