EHSQ Officer

About the role

The employer is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented EHSQ Officer to support the implementation and maintenance of its Integrated Management System (IMS) in line with internationally recognized ISO standards. The role ensures compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality (EHSQ) requirements and promotes a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with EHSQ policies, procedures and statutory requirements, and support the implementation and continuous improvement of the IMS
• Carry out routine workplace inspections and internal audits, monitor compliance with EHSQ standards and follow up on corrective and preventive actions
• Take part in risk assessments and hazard identification, and help implement control measures to reduce workplace risks
• Support ISO management system compliance and audit preparation, and ensure machinery, equipment, PPE and operations meet statutory and ISO requirements
• Deliver EHS training and awareness programmes to employees and clients, and promote best practices
• Take part in incident reporting and investigations, identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Maintain accurate EHSQ records and prepare periodic reports and performance updates

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) is mandatory
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Management

Required skills

• Experience with Integrated Management Systems (IMS)
• Knowledge of ISO standards and regulatory compliance requirements
• Data analysis, reporting and documentation
• Strong communication and training delivery skills
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
