Electrical Engineer – Interior Fit-out & MEP Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead interior fit‑out and MEP construction projects. The role involves planning, execution, supervision, testing, commissioning and handover of electrical systems while ensuring compliance with specifications, safety standards and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all electrical installation activities for fit‑out projects.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, BOQs and shop drawings.
• Coordinate electrical works with architectural, civil, mechanical and interior fit‑out teams.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, local authority regulations and electrical standards.
• Monitor progress, conduct site inspections and quality checks.
• Lead testing and commissioning, prepare reports and support final handover.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, contractors and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
• Prepare material take‑offs, monitor consumption and assist with cost control.
• Enforce HSE policies, conduct risk assessments and maintain project documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5‑10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years in commercial or retail fit‑out projects.
• Gulf experience preferred.

Required skills

• Electrical distribution, LV and ELV systems.
• Lighting, power, fire alarm, earthing and lightning protection.
• Low‑current systems such as CCTV, access control and structured cabling.
• Testing and commissioning procedures.
• Knowledge of local authority regulations and standards.
• AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Excel.
• Revit (preferred), Primavera P6 (preferred), ERP systems.
