Electrical Engineer – Interior Fit‑Out & MEP Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the planning, execution, testing, commissioning and handover of electrical systems on interior fit‑out and MEP construction projects. The role involves close coordination with project managers, consultants, subcontractors and site teams to deliver projects on time, within budget and to the required quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all electrical installation activities for fit‑out projects, reviewing drawings, specifications, BOQs and shop drawings.
• Coordinate electrical works with architectural, civil, mechanical and interior fit‑out teams and ensure compliance with local regulations and standards.
• Monitor progress, conduct site inspections, manage testing and commissioning, prepare reports and support final handover.
• Prepare material take‑offs, track consumption, assist with variation orders and maintain cost control.
• Lead HSE compliance, risk assessments, toolbox talks and quality control procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5‑10 years of electrical engineering experience, with at least 3 years in commercial or retail fit‑out projects.
• Gulf region experience preferred.
• Proven ability to manage projects, supervise site works and solve technical issues.

Required skills

• Electrical distribution, lighting, LV and ELV systems.
• Fire alarm, structured cabling, CCTV and access‑control systems.
• Testing and commissioning procedures, local authority regulations.
• AutoCAD, MS Office (Excel), Revit (preferred), Primavera P6 (preferred), ERP systems.
