Engineering Manager

About the role

The Engineering Manager leads software engineering teams, drives technical execution, and ensures delivery of high‑quality products. This role balances technical leadership with people management, project delivery, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams and set technical direction aligned with business goals.
• Plan project execution, manage resources, and ensure timely delivery of features and systems.
• Mentor and develop engineers, conduct performance reviews, and foster a culture of quality and innovation.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and team growth to build high‑performing squads.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA and other stakeholders to define requirements and prioritize work.
• Resolve technical challenges and guide architectural decisions when needed.
• Improve engineering processes, scalability, system reliability, and delivery efficiency.
• Align technical execution with overall business strategy.

Required profile

• Strong background in software engineering and system design.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing developers.
• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent technical leadership, decision‑making, and project management skills.
• Outstanding communication and cross‑functional collaboration abilities.
• Experience in code review, architecture discussions, and technical planning.
• Strong problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution capabilities.
• Ability to mentor, coach, and develop engineering talent.
