English Teacher – August 2027 Start

About the role

The British School of Bahrain is seeking an experienced English Teacher to join its international community starting August 2027. You will deliver the British curriculum to students aged 3‑18 in a vibrant, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and assessment requirements.
• Assess student progress regularly, providing targeted feedback to support outstanding achievement.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages risk‑taking and collaboration.
• Collaborate with colleagues, share best practices, and engage in continuous professional development.
• Participate in co‑curricular activities and contribute to whole‑school initiatives.
• Maintain constructive communication with parents to support each learner’s development.

Required profile

• Degree and PGCE, B.Ed or equivalent with at least two years post‑qualification teaching experience.
• Subject‑relevant degree or closely related field.
• Experience teaching the British curriculum up to GCSE and A‑Level (highly desirable).
• Confidence using ICT in teaching.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure and commitment to child welfare.
• High expectations for all students and a passion for education.
