Science Teacher (any specialism) – August 2027 start

About the role

The British School of Bahrain is seeking experienced Science teachers to join its community from August 2027. The role involves delivering the British curriculum to students aged 3‑18 in a multicultural, co‑educational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the school curriculum and assessment requirements.
• Assess student progress regularly, providing targeted feedback to support outstanding achievement.
• Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages risk‑taking and mutual respect.
• Collaborate with colleagues, share best practices, and engage in continuous professional development.
• Contribute to the co‑curricular programme through clubs, initiatives and school events.
• Maintain constructive communication with parents to support each child’s development.

Required profile

• Degree and PGCE, B.Ed or equivalent in the subject taught or a closely related field.
• Minimum two years post‑qualification teaching experience, preferably with the British curriculum up to GCSE/A‑Level.
• Confidence using ICT in teaching.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure and a strong commitment to child welfare.
• High expectations for all students and an open‑minded, development‑focused attitude.
