Estimator – Interior Fit‑out

About the role

The Estimator prepares accurate, competitive and commercially sound cost estimates for interior fit‑out enquiries, quotations and tenders. The role manages the estimating process from enquiry review and scope clarification through supplier pricing, tender analysis, internal approval and handover to operational and commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review enquiries, RFQs, drawings and specifications; clarify scope and technical requirements with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates covering materials, labour, subcontract works, logistics and installation, applying fit‑out methods and market rates.
• Identify value‑engineering options and alternative solutions to protect quality, programme and client intent.
• Issue enquiries to suppliers, analyse quotations, negotiate rates and commercial terms, and ensure alignment with tender requirements.
• Prepare tender analysis, pricing summaries and present estimates for internal review and client clarification.
• Coordinate handover packages for awarded projects, including assumptions, risks and supplier quotations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in the interior fit‑out industry.
• Practical knowledge of the full tender cycle, including quantity take‑off, cost build‑up and value engineering.
• Experience interpreting drawings, specifications, bills of quantities and contract conditions.
• Strong numerical, analytical and commercial judgement with attention to detail.
• Effective negotiation and supplier‑management skills.
• Clear written and verbal business English for internal and client‑facing discussions.
